My Week In A Nutshell

March 9th, 2007 at 10:59 pm

Saved all of my pay this week and tagged it as my cash account. It has been a pretty frugal week for me. Cooked dinner every night using the menu's from the mega menu mailer. The dinners were okay, nothing was outstanding.

Work was a little bit busier this week so that was a good sign. I like when it is busy, not just monetarily but it makes the time go by so much faster.

Nothing much going on in the Ebay or Half.com category.

Can't wait for the cold weather to be gone. I hate the cold and I hate being in the house.

I hope all of you have a great weekend!

Is that the Saving Dinner Menu Mailer? I have been cooking out of my Taste of Home cookbook lately. They have all been really good. I got my cookbook at a garage sale, so it was money well spentSmile

    Hi Littlemama,
Yes, in fact it is the Saving Dinner Menu Mailer. My husband doesn't mind the dinners but I find that I don't really care for too many of the recipes. Thanks for the recommedation of the Taste of Home Cookbook. I will look into it. Have a great weekend.

Are the recipes from saving dinner the ones you make to put in the freezer? Would you be willing to share some of those? I have heard about them but would like to see if it is anything we would eat. I also get the Taste of Home's Simple and Delicious magazine and it is good, but looking for a way to freeze some meals. Thanks a bunch -

    Hi!
The source of the recipes is from the Mega Menu Mailer. They have a website and for a small fee they will let you down load their recipes and shopping lists and money saving tips. The meals are prepared in kits and then frozen for a later date. They have several different menu's to chose from.
A couple of the recipes were okay.I liked the ground beef gyros, carribean steak and the burritos they also offer some fish and chicken recipes as well.
